The rescue crews are working tirelessly to save as many lives as they can, including those of humans and animals, after the floods caused by the heavy rains have already claimed 75 lives and affected up to 100,000 in various parts of Peru. This daring rescue is one instance.
A dog that was in danger of drowning because of the flood caused by the Rmac River overflow in the Carapongo section of the San Juan de Lurigancho district was saved by a crew from the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima. The Municipality posted pictures of the admirable deed on its official Facebook page
When one of the team members approached the dog, they were able to rescue it using a rope system.
An admirable deed that inspires us to maintain our trust in mankind, especially at this time when this nation is dealing with one of the worst natural catastrophes in recent memory.
